2021/06/24 - Thursday - Vacation - Day 07 - Made it to Mississippi

We left close to 9:30 today.

Next stop is for the necessary gas.

We had time, so we stopped at Vicksburg National Military Park.  We drove most of the grounds with the RV and trailer.  We did not do all the grounds, we ran out of time and A needed to be able to turn her paperwork in to get her JR badge.

We made it to Lindeaire RV Park and setup camp under the trees.  But what a dump.  I would not recommend this park to anybody. My 30 amp connection was not grounded, and I had to park so I would not get stuck in the mud.  They had several modular homes that were totally run down falling apart with no windows or doors.

We headed out to dinner - Aladdin Mediterranean Grill.  We stopped at Joann Fabrics to do some shopping.

Back to the RV to relax.

2019/06/30 - Sunday - Vacation - Day 10 - Library and Stocking Up

We got up late - today is a relaxing day.

We got moving almost lunch time.  First stop was The Joint - but a different one closer to our main attraction.  While I was getting worked on, the rest went into GNC to get a few items.

Next stop was lunch.  The first location had a long line, so we found another location - Parish Foods & Goods.

We spent about an hour and half at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum.

We then took a drive and drove around the Stone Mountain Park.

One the way back home we made several stops. Whole food, then Wal-Mart, the Amazon Locker and then finally McDonald's

Back the RV of course we had to put all the items away and relax.

2014/06/25 – Wednesday – Vacation - Day 05 - Goats, Mine, and Museums

Today was going to be a easy going day.  We had two things planned.

We finally found the correct location of a goat cheese making location.  The owner took us on the tour of the location and he makes several flavors of cheeses that go all over area.  They even have other animals on the ranch - dogs, horses, cow, sheep, ducks, chickens, burrow, potbelly pig, and of course goats - Lots of goats.

Next we stopped at the gas station to top off the van.

We were getting hungry so we went past the next location and proceeded onto Kramer Junction for lunch.

We stopped at the Rio Tinto Borax Mine.  The visitor center was interesting and we got lucky and had a very informative instructor from the company.

We then found out about two museum in town of Boron.  We visited the Col. Vernon P. Saxon Jr. Aerospace Museum and the 20 Mule Team Museum.

We stopped at a store to get something to drink.

If you look, you can find interesting things that our out there!

2012/06/24 - Sunday - Train - Remoteness

We got on the road about 9:15

First stop was Costco in Carson City for the necessary go go juice for the RV.

We stop at the Carson City - Nevada State Railroad Museum, the place looks nice but it only took about half an hour.  They also were not doing any train rides.

Quick stop at some stores and had some lunch.  One of the stops was to replace a very smelly inverter that was going bad.

The last stretch today on 395 was a section of 70 miles without any services.

Cheryl and Amanda made dinner.

Relaxing after dinner watching TV and playing on the computers.
